In a few words: An Austrian classic.

Site: Grown in the loess and stony brown earth, in the vineyards in and around Grossweikersdorf

Grapes: 100% Zweigelt, hand harvested in early October

Fermentation and Aging: 14 days at temperatures up to 30°C, followed by malolactic fermentation in tank; 12-month maturation in large wooden barrels

Notes: This Zweigelt is an Austrian classic with stunning depth, structure and complexity. A rich violet, with characteristic aromas of ripe, red berries, sweet dried fruits, with juicy, concentrated flavors and spice. Ripe, gentle tannins and an expressive, elegant fruit make this a stunning accompaniment to any meal. Try it with roasted rack of venison, roasted lamb or goose, or simply with cheese.
