Langhe Nebbiolo "Bricdelbaio"

Bricdelbaio.jpegWinery: Ca' del Baio
Region: Piedmont
Locale: Treiso (Barbaresco)
Appellation: Langhe Nebbiolo
Designation: DOC

In a few words: Elegant and refined, a well-balanced and archetypal Piedmontese wine.

Site: Selected from the best vineyards, with western exposure and soils of clayey-limestone marl.

Grapes: 100% Nebbiolo harvested in early October.

Fermentation and Aging: Grapes are pressed as soon as they arrive at the winery. Fermented with native yeast for the fullest expression of the grapes. Maceration takes place in stainless steel tanks, before aging for 10 months in oak barrels.

Notes: Delicately fruity on the nose, conjuring up wild berries and raspberry jam. A well-balanced Nebbiolo with a nicely tannic finish. A perfect match for Piedmontese food, from hand-chopped steak tartare to tagliolini pasta with meat sauce. Also pairs very well with grilled meat, roast beef and slightly aged cheeses. Elegant and refined, this wine will develop nicely for up to 10 years in the cellar.
