Sauvignon_label.jpgWinery: Domaine Eric Louis
Region:
Loire Valley
Locale:
Thauvenay, Sancerre, France
Appellation: Vin de France
Designation: VDF

Site: Sauvignon blanc comes from slopes in the Loire Valley near Sancerre, the area formerly known as The Garden of France (“le jardin de France”), a special Vin de Pays appellation created for the Loire Valley.

Grapes: 100% Sauvignon Blanc

Fermentation and Aging: Fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks; left on the fine lees for 4 months, then bottled and released to the market in the spring following the vintage.

Notes: A pale gold colour with glints of emeralds, this is a charming wine that carries a beautiful mixed aroma of fresh fruits such as passion fruit. Perfect for cold cuts, salad (especially with goat cheese), and white meats. Also great with poached or sautéed white fish, grilled pork, salads and shellfish; or on its own as an aperitif.
