Site: Produced from a selection of the best sites among the 32 Hectares of biodynamically farmed estate vineyards in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. There is no single “Boisrenard” vineyard. Vines are old – 60 to 100 years. White and red vines of this age were inter-planted so pickers must do a sort in the vineyard. These old vines are very low yielding, averaging 15-20 HL/Ha.

Grapes: Principally Clairette (80 year old vines) and Roussanne (for some fatness), with Bourboulenc (gives acid freshness), Grenache Blanc (for body), Picardan, and Picpoul.

Fermentation and Aging: Harvested entirely by hand. Fermented in barrel, approximately 30% new. Rests on the fine lees from 6-10 months in those same barriques, then racked off the lees; spends a total of 18 months in barrique.

Notes: This wine is produced in such tiny quantities that the winery will only say production is “confidential”.
