Les Caves de la Loire

Caves-Loire.pngLes Caves de la Loire is a co-op located in Brissac-Quincé, right in the heart of the Angevin wine region. It was established in 1951 and consists of 160 growers and 1,600 hectares of vineyards, the majority of them located in Anjou. With over 60 years of history and experience, Les Caves de La Loire is first and foremost a representation of the terroir and of the winemakers, who are renowned for their skill, expertise and willingness to modernize. Their winemaking is based on a combination of traditional values and modern technology.

The cooperative is committed to sustainable agriculture, and is a certified member of the Vignerons en Développement Durable Collective, which was formed specifically for the wine industry with the target to be sustainable in the entire wine production process from the first vine leaf to the last drop of wine. Les Caves de la Loire applies this philosophy through optimization of packaging, reduced insecticide use, promoting biodiversity, and utilizing plant cover to nourish the soil naturally.
