Winery: Francesco Rinaldi & Figli
Region: Piemonte (Piedmont)
Locale: Barolo, Italy
Appellation: Barbera d'Alba
Designation: DOC
In a few words: This wine has a dry body. It is pleasantly bitter but becomes milder until it reaches a full and balanced taste. It has a bright ruby red colour.
Grapes: 100% Barbera
Fermentation and Aging: Fermented and aged 10-12 months in casks of 5,000 L.
Notes: This is big, generous Barbera! It also gets the acid/tannin balance just right - whereas often Barbera can be annoyingly high in acid. Produced in very limited quantities.
Vintage: 2009
