Site: From vineyards nearby to Sancerre, along the Loire River (formerly known as “le jardin de France”).
Grapes: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Fermentation and Aging: Fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks; left on the fine lees for 4 months, then bottled and released to the market in the spring following the vintage.
Interesting to know: Though it carries a lesser appellation, the Sauvignon blanc comes from slopes in the Loire Valley near Sancerre, the area formerly known as The Garden of France, a special Vin de Pays appellation created for the Loire Valley.
Pairing: This is a delicious Sauvignon Blanc, perfect for cold cuts, salad (especially with goat cheese), and white meats. Also great with poached or sautéed white fish, grilled pork, salads and shellfish.
