Brendan Moore recently started with WorldWide Cellars to represent wine sales to the state of Wisconsin. Prior to joining WorldWide Cellars, Brendan spent over 17 years in the restaurant side of the business. Brendan discovered his love for wine while working with the highly-regarded Bartolotta Restaurant group in Milwaukee where he had an opportunity to work with some of the most talented and passionate people in the industry.Over the past eight years, Brendan has developed his personal wine credentials to include highlights such as the second-level "Certified Sommelier" through the Court of Master Sommeliers, he is also a CSW Certified Specialist of Wine from Society of Wine Educators, and is currently preparing for its CWE (Certified Wine Educator) test, a certification that only about 275 American and International professionals have received. Brendan is also one of Wisconsin's only Official Spanish Wine Educators, accredited through The Wine Academy of Spain. Most recently, Brendan was named as one of the top 50 Sommeliers though the Guild of Sommeliers 2010 US Sommelier Championship. He has also been recognized by La Chaine des Rotisseurs as demonstrating superior wine service skills and knowledge, and has been acknowledged as offering some of the best wine lists by Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast and Sant Magazines. Brendan also enjoys leading classes for those interested in increasing their wine knowledge throughout the Milwaukee area.
Brendan is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with degrees in Finance, Spanish and Real Estate. He also attended La Universidad Veritas in San Jose, Costa Rica and is fluent in Spanish. He currently resides in the Milwaukee area with his wife, Nicole and two dogs, Misty and Yooper.
